Asterisk PBX

Asterisk is an open source telephony platform. It is capable of integrating different standards of voice communication, from public networks to cost-effective VoIP services, with applications like voicemail, conferencing and call queuing built into the software. Asterisk runs on many platforms, including Linux, Mac OSX and Windows.

Why we use Asterisk PBX

VoIP is a great way of reducing call costs, but businesses need a way of integrating this technology with their existing telephone systems efficiently and at a reasonable price.

Commercial PBXs are not as flexible as this open source alternative, which provides sophisticated tools that are usually only available in expensive proprietary systems – from interactive voice response to automatic call distribution.

What is VoIP?
