Our Values
Customer focused
Without
our clients we would be nothing, so the focus of all our hard work must
be to obtain the best result for the customer. Unless our customers are
pleased at the results we achieve, the job is not done. This is
important for our own growth: just as a good restaurant relies on happy
diners to spread the good word about the exquisite supper they were
served by the most charming waiters, so too does a successful business
require clients impressed by the service, process and results. We know
that businesspeople chat to their business friends over exquisite
lunches, and we want all of the talk about Accelerate4 to be positive.
Free our adaptive IT people
Our
developers are expected to deliver exceptional methods of improving
client performance. They need the ability to focus all of their
attention on creating solutions for our clients, rather than worrying
about internal politics. So we don’t have a rigid corporate structure,
and we don’t bother them with strict rules. All of our developers work
in small teams and are encouraged to think about the whole of the
clients needs, and be free to speak up when they have a better idea
than their project leader.
Protecting our future
We want to help to tackle climate change,
so our commitment to flexible working is about more than just our staff
happiness and productivity. Accelerate4 employees need to commute less often
and meetings are held using the internet or telephone where possible. By doing
this, car journeys are cut and paper is saved. We hope that by doing our bit we
can help to cut the greenhouse gas emissions, carbon footprint and
environmental impact of our business operations in a way that also improves the
operation of our company.
Create adaptive and re-usable technology
The
solutions that we provide should be adaptable and scaleable. If
something works for one team, could it be made to work for the whole
department? We don’t like making extra work for ourselves or wasting
our clients’ money. As our people create and support forward-thinking
architectures, they can often be tweaked to provide improved
performance in other business areas. Similarly, if a
non-differentiating program written for one client can be re-used to
help another, both clients can benefit: the first company gets a
financial reward and the latter company gets a faster result. And we
hate wastage, so we’re happy too!
Constructive impatience
We
don’t believe in complaining about a situation, we do something about
it. There is no point in pining over the past, but it is also wasteful
to plan just for the sake of it. At Accelerate4 we are impatient to get
underway, and will do so as soon as we have formulated a proactive
strategy to achieve the best result. After all, it is important to get
things done right as well as quickly!
Continuous improvement
The
world moves fast these days, and so must we. We will always keep up to
date with the very latest technologies and processes, and we will
always strive to be better. Our people are also expected to constantly
improve their knowledge, so we’re happy when they need to spend work
time sharpening their skills and reading about the latest technical
tools.
Hire by committee
The
Accelerate4 ethos requires our staff to get on well, and have every
confidence in their team’s abilities. Knowing that you have the
confidence of your colleagues, rather than just the approval of a
manager, creates a positive and constructive environment that makes our
people happier and our results better.
